Burns aim give competition the third degree with new rebrand
Owing to popular demand, Burns Pet Nutrition has rebranded and expanded their pet treats range. But will their exciting new image actually break any new ground in the pet food market?
Vet John Burns, the company’s founder and managing director, has developed three new natural, hypoallergenic rewards to accompany Kelties, the original Burns treat.
Two specialist treats have been launched, based on the formula from the Burns Sensitive+ and award-winning Weight Control+ ranges.
Sensitive treats are made from easy-to-digest pork and potato while Weight Control rewards are low-fat, low-calorie and higher in fibre, to keep dogs fuller for longer.
The smaller kibble of the Training Treats make them the ideal accessory to training sessions for dogs of all breeds and ages, Burns says. Kelties are a combination of brown rice, chicken and ocean fish and ideal for a pre-sleep snack.
John Burns told PetBusinessWorld recently that “The popularity of our specialist complete foods catering for sensitivities, intolerances and managing weight control meant that introducing corresponding treats was a natural progression of our product offering.
“The Training Treats will help owners teach their pets good behaviour, habits and skills whilst their dogs benefit from rewards which are as nutritious and carefully designed as our complete food.”
